DUDLEY, Mass. (Nov. 3) – Nichols College WR Anthony Pillari (Lumberton, N.J.) has earned a spot on the NEFC Offensive Weekly Honor Roll, for games during the weekend of October 31. Pillari broke the Nichols career and single-season receptions record on Senior Day as Nichols hosted Curry in the senior’s final home game.

Pillari had eight catches on the day for 67 yards to break the 12-year-old Nichols career receptions record as well as the 15-year old single-season receptions record. He stands with 131 career catches and 51 on the season, breaking previous marks of 125 in a career held by Dave Sokolnicki ‘97 and 49 in a season set by Chris Maher (1993).

Earlier in the season, Pillari set the school’s single-game receptions mark with 13 at Plymouth State on October 17th. He scored a pair of touchdowns on a career-high 210 yards on the day.

Pillari ranks third in the New England Football Conference with 75.7 receiving yards per game on the NEFC’s fourth-best 5.67 receptions per game. He has amassed 681 receiving yards on his school-record 51 catches, with three 100+ yard games.

Nichols (4-5, 3-3 NEFC Boyd) wraps up the season on Saturday, November 7th in a 1 p.m. game at Western New England College (5-4, 4-2 NEFC Boyd).  The Bison hold a 15-10 advantage in the all-time series that began in 1981, and have won six of the last 10 meetings.
