The No. 6 Trinity College women's hockey team posted a 6-1 victory over the visiting Nichols College Bison in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at Williams Rink.  Trinity improves to 15-3-2 overall while the Bison drop to 2-14-3. Cheryl Pitts (Wakefield, Mass.) scored the lone goal for the BIson.

Backed by 30 saves from junior netminder Christine Rigosi (Ridgewood, N.Y.), the Nichols College women’s hockey team tied Wesleyan College, 0-0 Wednesday night in a non-conference game at June Rockwell Levy Rink. The tie brings the Bison’s record to 2-13-3 and the Cardinals’ to 3-14-1.

Nichols College sophomore forward Krista-Jean Forand dished out three assists for the visiting Bison who fell to New England College on Saturday afternoon, 6-3 in ECAC East women’s hockey action. The loss drops the Bison to 2-13-2 on the season.

The Saint Anselm College women’s ice hockey team skated past host Nichols College, 8-0, in a Friday night ECAC Women’s East matchup at June Rockwell Levy Rink. The Hawks improve to 10-6-1 overall and 8-3-1 in conference action, while the Bison fall to 2-12-2 overall and 2-9-2 in conference play. Candice Ellis (Gloucester, Mass.) had a pair of excellent opportunities for the Bison, the first on a breakaway in the opening frame and then on a two-on-one in the middle stanza.

Sophmore Hannah Tardif (Laconia, N.H.) netted her 7th goal of the year on Saturday against University of Southern Maine in a 7-2 defeat. The loss drops Nichols to 2-11-2 overall and 2-8-2 in ECAC action. Katie Paradis led the way for the Huskies with two goals and two assists on the afternoon improving USM's record to 6-9-2 overall and 5-7 in league play.

Sophomore Mandy Manopla (West Palm Beach, Fla..) recorded two goals and one assist and junior Christine Rigosi (Ridgewood, N.Y.) stopped all 29 shots she faced Friday night as Nichols College defeated Plymouth State University, 9-0, in an ECAC East women's hockey action at Waterville Valley Arena.

The Holy Cross women's ice hockey team skated to a 5-0 victory over Nichols College at the Hart Center on Saturday afternoon in an ECAC East game. With the win, the Crusaders improve to 12-0-1 overall (9-0-1 ECAC), while the Bison fall to 1-9-1 on the season (1-7-1 ECAC). Nichols goalie Melanie Spears (Woburn, Mass.) stopped 26 Holy Cross shots in the loss.
