Danny Greiner, Louie Educate, Zach Kohn, Kyle Shapiro, Joe Sposit and Greg Strootman each recorded a pair of points to help the Bison to its first three-game winning streak of the season. Jacob Rinn stopped 32 shots in the effort. The squad completes a three-game homestand on Saturday with a 4:40 p.m. matchup with Western New England.

Reigning CCC Rookie of the Week Matt Langadas hit the game winning layup with three seconds remaining to give Nichols College an 80-78 victory over Curry College Wednesday evening in Milton. The bucket capped the second straight comeback win by the Bison, this time an 18-point effort to bring Nichols to a 7-10 overall record and an even 5-5 ledger in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) games. Sophomore Ryan Sheehan tied a career-high with 37 points, going 13-for-22 from the floor, and 10-for-11 from the free-throw line. Langadas went 5-for-9 from the field in contributing 11 points.

The Nichols College women's basketball team came alive in the second half, but couldn't overcome a 15-point halftime deficit in a 72-57 Commonwealth Coast Conference loss at Curry Wednesday evening. The Bison saw four players score in double digits and were led by junior forward Hayley Zophin's third double-double of the season. Zophin pulled down a game-high 11 boards to go with 12 points which included an 8-for-10 effort at the free-throw line.

Nichols College first year Matt Langadas has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week, it was announced Tuesday. Langadas was impressive in his first three career starts, averaging over 15 points a game against some of the league's top teams.

On Sunday night, renowned concussion expert Chris Nowinski delivered a presentation to a packed auditorium on the campus of Nichols College. Nowinski, a two-time All-Ivy league football selection for Harvard, has been instrumental in the research on the lasting effects on concussions and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy.

A three-pointer from Craig Merrick with just seconds left on the clock lifted the Nichols College men's basketball team to a 71-69 victory at Gordon Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference game at the Bennett Athletic Center. The bucket capped a furious Bison comeback as Nichols trailed by as many as 13 in the game and nine at halftime. Nichols improves to 6-10 overall and 4-5 in conference games. The Scots fall to 6-10 overall, 5-4 in league play.

The Nichols College women's basketball team halted a five-game skid with a 57-38 victory at Gordon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference game at Bennett Athletic Center. Nichols' stingy defense was again in full force, holding the Scots to the lowest offensive total since last season's opener (Lasell, 34 points). Kristina Lindgren led the way with 18 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while Chelsea Shaughnessy had seven points, 13 rebounds, and four steals.
