Teixeira is entering his second year as head coach of the Bison. In his first season at Nichols, he guided the Bison to their fourth straight appearance in the CCC Tournament. Nichols finished the year 14-22 overall and 10-10 in the CCC, earning the sixth seed in the tournament.
Prior to coming to Nichols Teixeira was an assistant baseball coach at Assumption College from 2000-2004 where he was the lead pitching and defense instructor. Teixeira also assisted with recruiting while at Assumption.
Since 2003 he has been the Director of the Auburn SportsPlex, a baseball training facility. While there he has implemented indoor baseball leagues, clinics, summer camps and private instruction courses. He has also worked several other baseball camps and clinics throughout his career, including the Nomar Garciaparra Baseball Camp.
In addition, he coached the Worcester Stan Musial baseball team from 1986-1998 and various AAU and Senior Babe Ruth American Legion summer teams.
During his playing days, Teixeira was a four-year standout at the University of New Hampshire where he served as team captain his junior and senior years. He spent time in the minor league as a pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization from 1989-91.
