INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Nichols College men's tennis team will hit the road later this week where they will play Colby-Sawyer in the 2013 NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship First Round at Williams College in Williamstown, Mass. on Thursday at a time to be announced.
The Bison (18-5) defeated top-seeded Roger Williams, 5-1, on Saturday to claim back-to-back Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Tennis titles. In the process the men's tennis team became the first Nichols program to make multiple NCAA tournament appearances.
Colby-Sawyer (14-7) captured the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) crown with a 9-0 victory over Rutgers-Camden on Sunday. Nichols defeated the Chargers 9-0 in the last regular season meeting as CCC opponents 9-0 on March 26, 2011 at Dartmouth's Boss Tennis Center in Hanover, N.H.
The winner of Thursday's match will face the hosts Ephs (18-3) on Friday.
