Chelsea Shaughnessy and graduate student
Kaitlyn DiBuono were named women's soccer All-CCC players, it was announced Friday morning by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The Commonwealth Coast Conference coaches voted to place Shaughnessy on the second team while DiBuono was named an honorable mention.
Shaughnessy adds to her pair of first team selections in 2009 and 2010. The midfielder led the Bison with four goals and nine points in 2011. For her career, Shaughnessy has collected 26 goals and 15 assists for 67 points including six game-winning goals and a pair of successful penalty kicks.
DiBuono tallied a pair of goals and added an assist including the game-winner on Senior Day against Albertus Magnus. Over the past four seasons the graduate student amassed 26 assists which is tied for second among Nichols all-time leaders and holds the single game and single season record for assists. In 2009 DiBuono doled out four helpers against Regis and totaled 13 for the year.
