COCOA, Fla. (March 16) – Junior JC LeBarron (Bennington, Vt.) pitched a complete-game four-hitter in the second game of a doubleheader against Baruch to pick up a 1-0 win after the Bison dropped a 6-5 game in the opener Tuesday at the Cocoa Expo.

LeBarron allowed one hit over the final five innings, and a sacrifice fly from Zac Johnson (Wakefield, R.I.) played Kyle Russell (West Yarmouth, Mass.) in the third inning for what proved to be the winning run.

In the opening game, Chris Nemeskal (Swampscott, Mass.) was 3-for-3 with an RBI, and the Bison got runs from five different spots in the lineup on seven hits, but a four-run second by Baruch put the Bearcats ahead for good.

Down, 6-3, Nichols threatened in the sixth, scoring two runs on two stolen bases each from Matt Whitman (North Plainfield, N.J.) and Cale LaCasse (Killingly, Conn.) and an RBI triple from Johnson.

Scott Leecock (Palmer, Mass.) took the loss with four runs on four hits in two innings; he struck out three.
