SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (Nov. 30) -- Nichols College junior guard Ashley Robidoux (Milford, Mass.) has been named the The Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week and the ECAC DIII New England Co-Player of the Week for play ending Sunday, November 29th. In Nichols' only game last week, Robidoux scored a career-high 31 points in the Bison's 80-73 home win over Connecticut College.
Robidoux became the first Bison player to record 30 or more in a game in five years, and also dished out five assists to go with a team-high two blocked shots. She shot a strong 56% from the field (9-of-16), including an impressive 75% showing from three-point range (6-of-8), and hit 7-of-11 from the charity stripe.
Robidoux is third in the TCCC in points per game with 18.3, and leads the team with 12 three-pointers made, averaging three per game.
Nichols is off to a 2-2 start and hosts Fitchburg State Tuesday at 7 p.m. before a 7 p.m. home game against Westfield State Thursday.
