CAPE COD, Mass.- The Nichols College softball team received the sixth seed in the upcoming ECAC Division III New England Softball Championship as announced by the ECAC office on Monday. The Bison will host third seeded Simmons College on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. Nichols advanced to The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship on Saturday, falling to Endicott, which is ranked number one in New England. Simmons appeared in the GNAC Championship, falling to Pine Manor last Sunday.
The Bison are currently 26-16 overall while the Sharks are 31-10. The winner of Wednesday’s game will face the winner of the Keene State/St. Joseph’s match-up on Saturday at 12 noon.
